Time Commitment
Participants complete 120 hours at their own pace.
Hours can include a mix of orientation, workshops, self-directed learning, online courses, volunteer work and social impact projects. Many participants complete their hours by building on activities they are already involved in, rather than adding extra work.
The program is flexible and designed to fit around school, work and other commitments.
School Credit
High school students in participating schools may use the Changemaker Program to earn Grade 12 credit, subject to school approval.
Most schools require approximately 100 hours to meet the Career Exploration credit requirement. Students who choose to complete the full 120-hour Changemaker Program also gain access to grants, national certification and additional recognition opportunities.
✅ Meets the Career Exploration graduation requirement
✅ Earn 4 to 8 Grade 12 credits
