Empowering Tomorrow’s Changemakers

At A Million Acts of Love, we believe that young people are powerful agents of change. Lexi and Felix showed us that some of the most impactful leaders come in the smallest packages. Children often have the vision and passion to make a difference, but they may lack the resources to turn their ideas into reality.

What We Offer: Grants from $100 to $1,000 are available to support young changemakers. Whether it's a local project to improve the community or a global initiative to tackle bigger issues, we’re here to provide the financial support needed to make it happen.

Who’s Eligible:

We accept applications in three age streams: Child Changemakers (ages 6–12), where an adult is expected to support the project but the idea and purpose must still come from the child; Youth Changemakers (ages 13–18), where leadership is expected to be mostly independent with optional adult guidance; and Young Adult Changemakers (ages 19–24), where applicants are given the most freedom but are also held to higher expectations in planning, clarity, and impact.

What We're Looking For:

We fund youth-led projects that create real positive change in the world.

A strong application will show:

✅ The Project

  • Makes a meaningful difference for people, community, animals, or the planet
  • Has a clear plan (what you’ll do, who it helps, and how the money will be used)
  • Has potential to continue, grow, or inspire others
  • Priority is given to new ideas or first time projects

✅ The Changemaker

  • You are the one leading the project (not an adult or organization doing it for you)
  • You are willing to share your story so it can inspire others

✅ Why You Need the Grant
We prioritize youth who could not do this project without support — because of limited funding, access, or resources.

How to Apply:

  • Young Changemakers:  Apply for a grant by sharing your idea with us. We’ll review your project and consider how we can help make it a reality. Applications are reviewed in two intakes each year: Winter Intake: December 16 and Spring Intake: May 15.  But don’t wait—we accept applications on a rolling basis and early submissions may be fast-tracked through special sponsorship opportunities, such as being matched with a local business or organization that can help make your project happen outside the regular intakes.
  • Youth who complete 120 volunteer hours through the A Million Acts of Love Volunteer Program, part of Canada’s National Youth Service Network receive priority access to Changemaker Grants, giving them the opportunity to turn what they’ve learned through service into their own community project.
